Following your online course at VHS Treptow-Köpenick, we asked course participants to give us feedback on the course. They reported on their expectations regarding the course content, the clarity of the structure of the teaching materials and the support provided by the course instructor.
An excellent course. It is so well formulated that even a person with no accounting background can easily understand. Mr Ralf Hundertmark is an excellent trainer. He is always available for guidance and support and offers very good tips and guidelines that makes learning that much more simpler. His videos are detailed, very well explained and humorous. This course offers total value for money. it's been a long time since I did a course where learning was so much fun. I would highly recommend this course.

I worked my way through my internship until December, so I'm almost done 🤩. I had no idea about so many processes because I'm not an accountant. I trained as an industrial clerk 40 years ago, worked in accounting for a few years after my training, but after that I was only ever involved in preparatory work in this area. At the beginning of the year, I "bravely" changed jobs again at just under 60. I was hired for property management and accounting support. At the same time, the accountant dropped out due to serious illness and is unlikely to return 😥. From one day to the next, I took over the payment transactions and payroll accounting and said that I would also try my hand at bookkeeping. The tax office took over the arrears and then I had to get to work 🙈.
I am so glad that I found Ralf via the Internet. The courses are simply brilliant and even as a non-accountant you can manage. Of course, you have to acquire the missing knowledge and invest more time in research than a practitioner, but it's actually really fun 👍. After I took on a very varied job in an accounting department at the age of 64, had to work more or less independently after a short familiarisation period, and DATEV was new territory for me, I searched the Internet for a suitable course.
And that's how I came across you - the topics, the process, no time pressure - everything was absolutely perfect, exactly what I was looking for.
I have already been able to apply a lot of it - the annual takeover went very well.
This online course was absolutely the best form of learning for me (at my age): I was able to set my own pace, but I worked through the topics continuously and consistently.

My aim was to complete the online course in the same time as the face-to-face course, i.e. in one week. I didn't quite manage that, sometimes I needed a bit longer for the exercises, which I think was mainly because I had to think about the requirements for hospitality costs or additional personnel expenses etc., i.e. knowledge from Fibu 1+2, and also had to read up on them.
A second factor was that I sometimes had to think about how to implement some things or how to find them in the programme, i.e. knowledge from the videos was not yet fully consolidated.
Overall, however, I can say that I got on well.
I find your voice very pleasant and I like the little humorous sayings/memo sentences. The explanations were understandable and comprehensible. Sometimes I didn't find the task description clear at first glance and I preferred to ask twice to be on the safe side.

And the little things that were wrong in the test really annoy me.
I really liked the fact that you created the videos in a "relaxed, funny" and easy-to-understand way. Despite the dry subject matter, I was able to follow along very well and didn't get bored.
Overall, I liked this way of learning better than I thought. Unlike a face-to-face course, I was able to fit the times into my everyday life quite well and didn't have to worry about additional childcare. Studying in the evenings/weekends does require some discipline, but when I suddenly ran out of time, it actually went better than expected.
All the best and who knows, sometimes you meet twice in life....

I really enjoyed the online course. Of course, I have to say that I'm on short-time work and therefore almost free. I can't say how I would have fared if I had been working full-time. That's why I was able to work quickly, of course. But that also requires self-discipline.

Step by step, your voice guided me through all the lessons, always with a calm and relaxed tone. Posting the solution videos here and there also made me a bit smarter.

It was exactly the right course for my needs. When I apply now, I'm no longer completely "blank". The basics, such as dealing with batches, clearing open items, looking at accounts, analyses, adjusting posting lines, splitting postings, knowing that you have to save ... .
I think that if you no longer have to have everything explained to you, you can approach things with confidence. Routine is different, but a start has been made.

Working from home and homeschooling has really turned our everyday life here upside down. But we're all healthy and the course is over ... and I've already applied for a job ... .

I received direct personal feedback and suggestions for the work results submitted for the individual lessons within a very short time (sometimes after just a few minutes). It took me about a week to work through the entire course and I completed the final test at the first attempt with very good results and a certificate, and I didn't miss a single topic for financial accounting.
For me, with experience in accounting but no knowledge of Datev, the decision in favour of this online course was exactly the right one and I can only recommend it to others. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Many thanks for the very quick correction and the certificate. The new structure is clearer. Especially before the exam, the participant can recognise more quickly which parts he/she has not yet worked on or has not yet ticked (like me).
I got on quite well with the course most of the time. However, I have also done various distance learning courses (but not online). That certainly made it easier for me.
In my opinion, the course is particularly suitable for people who are used to working through issues on their own. The videos were easy to understand. The only thing that sometimes confused me was that I sometimes had different figures to those in the video. But you explained that sometimes bookings or settings from a previous course participant on the clients in the RW lead to this..... once I knew this, it was no longer a problem.
Your support was great and incredibly fast. Thank you very much for your offer to provide further support and I will gladly take you up on it if necessary. However, I believe that I may have more questions about specific cases.
The main advantage of her course for me was that it is independent of time and, of course, location.
What's more, other Fibu (online) courses (including the one at the VHS here) were more expensive. And as I don't have that much money available at the moment, I thought that all the advantages spoke in favour of the course.

The practical application in online access was very important for me. I would also like to mention the favourable conditions at which the VHS offers the course.
I am currently taking part in a so-called vocational rehabilitation programme for participation in working life.
In this context, I am currently doing a 1-year internship with a local tax consultant.
As a lateral entrant, I am trying to recommend myself for a long-term position there.
At the beginning of my internship, I was able to complete a 4-day online seminar on "Self-organisation" and "Law firm accounting". However, this was limited to theoretical content.
However, as a newcomer to the site, the practical work on the online tool was the most important part of your course.
I would like to take advantage of the possibility of individual coaching at the workplace with the VHS in the future. I found the idea of a year-round internship as another training option very interesting. In my day-to-day work, I realise that it involves the implementation of more complex bookings through to year-round accounting work.
I would like to present the certificate and your feedback to my training supervisor. Perhaps she also sees a coaching opportunity for me.
Finally, I would like to mention that I googled the course by chance and couldn't find anything comparable until then. In my opinion, it is an excellent course for career changers.

I definitely enjoyed the course, lots of input and comprehensible explanations, even for people from outside the industry, I laughed a lot... "If you want to book, you have to search", marvellous.
The modular system of Xpert-Business really convinced me, the flexibility is unbeatable.
There is also nothing comparable, other providers all have compulsory attendance on site, which was out of the question for me, or they are only courses subsidised by the employment office.
I also want to continue in the near future and do the remaining courses to become a financial accountant and the payroll courses.
I got on really well with the VHS learning platform, it's easy to understand and use.

The modular system of Xpert-Business really convinced me, the flexibility is unbeatable.
There is also nothing comparable, other providers all have compulsory attendance on site, which was out of the question for me, or they are only courses subsidised by the employment office.
I also want to continue in the near future and do the remaining courses to become a financial accountant and the payroll courses.
I got on really well with the VHS learning platform, it's easy to understand and use.

As sceptical as I was about the online course, my experience with it has been positive. I only signed up for the course because the face-to-face course was cancelled at short notice due to too few participants and I didn't want to disrupt my schedule. The course was offered as a substitute - that's how I discovered it.
What I find practical is that you are in control of your own time and, thanks to your own DATEV access, you can experiment as much as you like. I didn't miss anything in terms of structure and content. Everything is very clear and easy to understand.
Perhaps the only thing I didn't understand straight away was how to post the opening balances. There was no video on this, if I remember correctly. But it was immediately clear from the solution video for the first task.

I came across it because I was specifically looking for an online DATEV training course to open the door to bookkeeping (DATEV = Queen of Bookkeeping). Because I knew that the VHS TK is pretty well positioned with online courses, I first looked there and - Bingo - booked immediately. Online course because I want to decide when and where.
Accessing the learning platform and DATEV was straightforward because your "welcome email" was very detailed, so even as a digital idiot you couldn't really go wrong.
On the learning platform itself, you are initially a little overwhelmed by the scope of the course and the amount of information, but when you scroll through it, you realise that everything builds on each other well, you are guided through very well, also in combination with the links to DATEV.
What I find particularly good as a rushed full-time mum are the time indications on the videos, so you can
estimate when the next suitable time slot is available for the next learning unit, super...
In principle, I think it's good that there is a small and a large sample case, you can work your way through the sticking points and realise very quickly where you currently stand. The individual videos build on each other well, but you really have to work through them strictly in order, but this is pointed out at the very beginning.
The learning units are very clear once you are in the thick of it. You realise that someone really understands the subject and also has teaching experience. I really no longer had the feeling that I was in a virtual room, everything seemed very close and tangible. The language is vivid, the lecture in combination with the screen animation harmonises, everything is perfect. The only small drawback, but this is due to my technical equipment, is that it's not easy to "do the gymnastics" at the same time; for some reason I can't play the videos on my tablet. At this point you could think again.... What I also find good is that your explanations really concentrate on the DATEV-specific features and not some accounting gimmick is rolled up, there are other sources/courses for that. Of course, this assumes that you have a certain affinity for accounting....
So, now to the "support" - it's really good because, as a course participant, I have several channels to choose from and you always reply and correct promptly. WhatsApp is certainly the quickest option, but it's also a bit brave because it's a bit more private. However, it's not a problem for me personally (in this case!). I sometimes found the messages quite crisp, of course you assume that the course participants are "experienced accountants", in my case this is not the case, but I

The individual videos build on each other well, but you really have to work through them strictly in order, but this is pointed out at the very beginning.
The learning units are very clear once you are in the thick of it. You realise that someone really understands the subject and also has teaching experience. I really no longer had the feeling that I was in a virtual room, everything seemed very close and tangible. The language is vivid, the lecture in combination with the screen animation harmonises, everything is perfect. The only small drawback, but this is due to my technical equipment, is that it's not easy to "do the gymnastics" at the same time; for some reason I can't play the videos on my tablet. At this point you could think again.... What I also find good is that your explanations really concentrate on the DATEV-specific features and not some accounting gimmick is rolled up, there are other sources/courses for that. Of course, this assumes that you have a certain affinity for accounting....
So, now to the "support" - it's really good because, as a course participant, I have several channels to choose from and you always reply and correct promptly. WhatsApp is certainly the quickest option, but it's also a bit brave because it's a bit more private. However, it's not a problem for me personally (in this case!). I sometimes found the messages quite crisp, of course you assume that the course participants are "experienced accountants", in my case this is not the case, but I

All in all, I really enjoyed the course, the lectures are captivating, sometimes humorous in the "right" places and relate to you as a student.
Despite the physical distance, the audience was really involved and at the end of the day you are happy that you have understood DATEV a little more.
Admittedly, I was a bit sceptical at first because I couldn't quite imagine that you could convey such a topic in an online course. But the whole thing really more than convinced me, which is certainly due to the technical realisation on the one hand, but also to your dedicated manner on the other."

I came across it because I was specifically looking for an online DATEV training course to open the door to bookkeeping (DATEV = Queen of Bookkeeping). Because I knew that the VHS TK is pretty well positioned with online courses, I first looked there and - Bingo - booked immediately. Online course because I want to decide when and where.
Accessing the learning platform and DATEV was straightforward because your "welcome email" was very detailed, so even as a digital idiot you couldn't really go wrong.
On the learning platform itself, you are initially a little overwhelmed by the scope of the course and the amount of information, but when you scroll through it, you realise that everything builds on each other well, you are guided through very well, also in combination with the links to DATEV.
What I find particularly good as a rushed full-time mum are the time indications on the videos, so you can
estimate when the next suitable time slot is available for the next learning unit, super...
